Text
Beginning
January 1, 2022, an outstanding judgement or warrant described in section 42-4-1709 (7) shall not serve as a basis for the department to deny an application for
issuance, renewal, or reinstatement of a driver's license. The department shall not
issue a license to a person with an outstanding judgement or warrant who applies
for issuance, renewal, or reinstatement of a license unless the person has paid to
the department a driver's license fee required by section 42-2-114 and the license
reinstatement fee required by section 42-2-132.
