§ 31-4-507 — Powers of clerk and deputy
(1)Except as otherwise provided in
this article, the clerk shall render all interpretations and shall make all initial
decisions as to controversies or other matters arising in the operation of this article.
(2)All powers and authority granted to the clerk by this article may be
exercised by a deputy clerk in the absence of the clerk or in the event the clerk for
any reason is unable to perform the duties of the clerk's office.
