§ 31-10-1006 — Delivery to judges
Not later than 8:30 a.m. on the day of any
municipal election, the clerk shall deliver to the judges of one of the precincts of
the municipality, which precinct shall be selected by the clerk, all the absent voters'
envelopes received up to that time, in sealed packages, taking a receipt for the
packages, together with the list of absent voters, or, in the clerk's discretion, the
clerk may elect to deliver the absent voters' envelopes received from electors of
each precinct and the list of absent voters for each precinct to the judges of the
precinct. The clerk shall continue to deliver any envelopes which may be received
thereafter during said day up to and including 7 p.m. On the sealed packages shall
be printed or written, This package contains ....(number) absent voters' ballo
