Text
Any mayor or
member of the governing body of any city or town who takes or receives payment
for any services rendered by him contrary to the provisions of section 31-4-406
commits a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of
not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars. Said fines,
when collected, shall be paid into the general fund of said city or town.
