Text
(1)If a municipality or district
merges or consolidates with one or more municipalities or districts, the former
trustees of the various volunteer firefighter pension funds of the consolidated or
merged municipalities or districts shall:
(a)Elect seven persons from their members, not more than three of whom
are fire department members, to serve as trustees of the volunteer firefighter
pension fund of the consolidated or merged fund with due regard to equal
representation;
(b)Cease to hold office if they are not elected under paragraph (a) of this
subsection (1).
(2)The trustees of the consolidated or merged fund shall elect from its
members a president, secretary, and treasurer. The treasurer of the consolidated or
