Text
A district has the power
to construct, maintain, and operate safety measures that are necessary to allow the
municipality to restrict the sounding of locomotive horns at highway-rail grade
crossings in compliance with 49 U.S.C. sec. 20153, as amended, and the applicable
rules of the federal railroad administration. The district shall construct, maintain,
and operate the safety measures in accordance with the provisions of section 40-4-106, C.R.S., and the standards of safety prescribed by the public utilities
commission pursuant to section 40-29-110, C.R.S.
