Text

The governing body of every municipality is hereby vested with jurisdiction to create and establish one or more districts within the boundaries of the municipality pursuant to the provisions of this part 12, and such districts shall have all the powers provided in this part 12 which are authorized by the ordinance creating the district, or any amendment to the ordinance, adopted by the governing body. When the approval of the municipality is required by this part 12, such approval shall be given by the governing body or such other board or official of the municipality as may be designated by the charter or ordinances of the municipality unless the approval of the municipality is expressly required by this part 12.
