Text
(1)Any person
commits a class 2 misdemeanor who:
(a)Willfully destroys, defaces, mutilates, or suppresses any initiative or
referendum petition;
(b)Willfully neglects to file or delays the delivery of the initiative or
referendum petition;
(c)Conceals or removes any initiative or referendum petition from the
possession of the person authorized by law to have custody of the petition;
(d)Adds, amends, alters, or in any way changes the information on the
petition as provided by the elector; or
(e)Aids, counsels, procures, or assists any person in doing any of such acts.
(2)Any person convicted of committing such a misdemeanor shall be
punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, or by imprisonment in the
county jail for not more than one year, or by both such
