Text
If any person
duly nominated dies before the day fixed for the election and the fact of such death
becomes known to the clerk or withdraws by filing an affidavit of withdrawal with
the clerk before the date fixed for election, the name of the deceased or withdrawn
candidate shall not be printed upon the ballots for the election. If the ballots are
already printed, the name of the deceased candidate or withdrawn candidate shall
be erased or canceled, if possible, before the ballots are delivered to the voters.
