Text
(1)The rural
hospital cash fund is created in the state treasury and is referred to in this section
as the fund. The fund consists of money credited to the fund and any other money
that the general assembly may appropriate or transfer to the fund.
(2)The state treasurer shall credit all interest and income derived from the
deposit and investment of money in the fund to the fund.
(3)Money in the fund is continuously appropriated to the department of
health care policy and financing for the purpose of distributing money in equal
amounts to rural hospitals.
(4)On July 1, 2024, the state treasurer shall transfer one million seven
hundred forty-two thousand twenty-nine dollars from the general fund to the fund.
(5)As used in this section, rural hospital means a hospital licensed
