Text
Any community college may
withdraw from the state system and establish a local college district pursuant to
procedures established by the Colorado commission on higher education. The
procedures shall provide for a vote by the eligible electors of the area proposed to
be incorporated into a local college district. The Colorado commission on higher
education shall provide for the transfer of college property and liabilities to the
district in the event of such a withdrawal and establishment.
