§ 22-7-807 — Summer school grant program - funding
(1)For the 2006-07
budget year and for each budget year thereafter, subject to available
appropriations, the general assembly shall annually appropriate moneys from the
state education fund created in section 17 (4) of article IX of the state constitution
to the department to be used to award grants for summer school programs
pursuant to this part 8.
(2)The department may annually withhold a portion of the moneys
appropriated for the purposes of this part 8 to offset the direct costs incurred in
administering the grant program and in evaluating the progress of each summer
school program pursuant to the requirement of section 22-7-803 (3). The amount
withheld by the department in any budget year shall not exceed three percent of
the amount appropriated for the purposes of this
