Text
(1)The department of
education shall have the following duties regarding the second chance program:
(a)To notify all school districts of the procedures to be followed in
processing applications from eligible students;
(b)To gather information on participating schools and advertise the program
to potentially eligible students and their parents;
(c)To receive enrollment information and audit the students and schools
participating in the program;
(d)To provide assistance as requested to participating school districts,
schools, students, and parents;
(e)To hear appeals of disputes arising between participating school
districts, schools, students, and parents.
(f)Repealed.
