§ 22-44-108 — Preparation of budget
(1)(a) The board of education shall each
year cause to be prepared a proposed budget for the ensuing fiscal year. A
statement shall be submitted with the proposed budget describing the major
objectives of the educational program to be undertaken by the school district
during the ensuing fiscal year and the manner in which the budget proposes to
fulfill such objectives.
(b)Repealed.
(c)The proposed budget shall be submitted to the board at least thirty days
prior to the beginning of the next fiscal year.
(2)Upon receipt of the proposed budget and statement, the board of
education may change the proposed budget and statement prior to the publication
of the notice of budget required by section 22-44-109.
