Text
As used in this part 1, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)Appropriation means the setting aside by resolution of a specified
amount of money for a fund with an authorization to make expenditures and incur
obligations for the purposes thereof.
(2)Board of education or board means the governing body of a school
district.
(3)Contingency means an act of God or the public enemy, or some event
which could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of the adoption of the
budget of a school district.
(4)(a) and (b) Repealed.
(c)Effective July 1, 1992, fiscal year means the period beginning on July 1 of
each year and ending on the following June 30.
(5)Function means a classification within a fund in accordance with a
major purpose including, but not limited to, admin
