Text
(1)Each
applicant for a grant or matching grant pursuant to this part 2 shall submit an
application to the board no later than July 1 for the budget year commencing on that
July 1. An individual school of a school district, including a district charter school,
may apply for a grant or matching grant through the school district in which the
school is located, and the school district may then apply to the board for the grant
or matching grant on behalf of the school. An institute charter school may apply
directly to the board.
(2)The board or its designees shall evaluate each application submitted by a
school district or an institute charter school based on the factors set forth in this
section and such other factors as the board may establish by rule.
