Text

(1)The state board shall appoint a selection committee to review applications for each of the pilot schools established pursuant to this article 38 and to make recommendations to the state board as to whether a pilot school should be established in an area and which applicant should be selected. The state board shall appoint, as members of or advisors to the committee, members from the county departments of human or social services from each region in which a pilot school is to be established. The committee may also include persons from local school districts, local law enforcement agencies, local probation departments, community-based organizations, parent groups, and any other interested private citizens.
