(1)Each local education provider shall adopt and implement policies and procedures
pursuant to which the local education provider or the public school in which the
student was enrolled shall notify a student's parent if the student drops out of
school, even if the student is not subject to the compulsory attendance requirement
specified in section 22-33-104. The local education provider shall develop the
policies and procedures with the goal of encouraging the student to re-enroll in
school and of conveying to the student's parent the long-term ramifications to the
student of dropping out of school.
(2)At a minimum, the policies and procedures shall specify the time frames
by which the local education provider or the public school in which the student was
enrolled shall notif
