Text
Beginning in the 2009-10 academic year, the office, with assistance from other
divisions within the department, shall annually analyze data collected by the
department from local education providers throughout the state concerning
student attendance and the implementation of school attendance policies and
practices and shall assess the overall incidence, causes, and effects of student
dropout, engagement, and re-engagement in Colorado. On or before February 15,
2010, and on or before February 15 each year thereafter, the office shall provide to
local education providers, the state board, the education committees of the senate
and the house of representatives, or any successor committees, and the governor's
