§ 22-91-102 — Definitions
As used in this article 91, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)Department means the department of education created and existing
pursuant to section 24-1-115, C.R.S.
(2)Education provider means a school district, a board of cooperative
services, a charter school authorized by a school district pursuant to part 1 of article
30.5 of this title, or a charter school authorized by the state charter school institute
pursuant to part 5 of article 30.5 of this title.
(2.5) First-generation college student means:
(a)An individual both of whose parents did not complete a baccalaureate
degree; or
(b)In the case of an individual who regularly resided with and received
support from only one parent, an individual whose only such parent did not
complete a baccalaureate degree.
