Text
It is lawful for any peace
officer who has the custody of any alleged offender following an arrest to pass
through any counties which lie on his route between the place of arrest and the
county to which he is taking the alleged offender and to lodge him in any jail on his
route for safe custody for one night or more, as the occasion requires.
