§ 16-1-105 — Interpretation of words and phrases
(1)In interpreting this code,
such words and phrases as are defined in this article shall have the meanings
indicated by their definitions, unless a particular context clearly requires a different
meaning.
(2)Words or phrases not defined in this code but which are defined in the
Colorado Criminal Code (title 18, C.R.S.) shall have the meanings given therein
except when a particular context clearly requires a different meaning.
(3)Words and phrases used in this code and not expressly defined shall be
construed according to the rules governing the construction of statutes of this
state.
