§ 12-290-103 — Podiatric surgery
(1)Surgical procedures on the ankle below
the level of the dermis may be performed by a podiatrist licensed before July 1,
2010, in this state who:
(a)Is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery or its successor
organization;
(b)Is performing surgery under the direct supervision of a licensed podiatrist
certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery or its successor organization;
except that, if the supervising podiatrist is licensed on or after July 1, 2010, the
supervising podiatrist shall be certified in reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery or
foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery or its successor
organization; or
(c)Is performing surgery under the direct supervision of a person licensed to
practice medicine and certified by
