(1)Nothing contained in this
article 285 prohibits:
(a)The practice of physical therapy by students enrolled in an accredited
physical therapy or physical therapist assistant program and performing under the
direct supervision of a physical therapist currently licensed in this state;
(b)The practice of physical therapy in this state by any legally qualified
physical therapist from another state or country whose employment requires the
physical therapist to accompany and care for a patient temporarily residing in this
state, but the physical therapist shall not provide physical therapy services for any
other individuals nor shall the person represent or hold himself or herself out as a
physical therapist licensed to practice in this state;
