(1)No power boiler, except those
exempt by this article, shall be installed in this state unless it has been constructed,
inspected, and stamped in conformity with the rules for construction of power
boilers of the A.S.M.E. boiler and pressure vessel code and is registered with the
national board of boiler and pressure vessel inspectors, and inspected in
accordance with the requirements of this article and the rules and regulations of
the section.
(2)A power boiler having the standard stamping of another state that has
adopted a standard of construction equivalent to the standard provided in this
article may be accepted by the director; however, the person or firm desiring to
install the boiler shall make application for the installation and shall file with this
