(a)
Except as provided in subdivision (b), the court shall require any minor who is ordered to pay restitution pursuant to Section 730.6, or to perform community service, to report to the court on his or her compliance with the court’s restitution order or order for community service, or both, no less than annually until the order is fulfilled.
(b)
For any minor committed to the Department of the Youth Authority, the department shall monitor the compliance with any order of the court that requires the minor to pay restitution. Upon the minor’s discharge from the Department of the Youth Authority, the department shall notify the court regarding the minor’s compliance with an order to pay restitution.
