§ 14197.11. — 14197.11. (Added by Stats. 2022, Ch. 73, Sec. 4.)

(a)Notwithstanding any other law, subject to subdivisions (e) and (g), the department may enter into one or more comprehensive risk contracts with an alternate health care service plan (AHCSP) to serve as a primary Medi-Cal managed care plan for eligible beneficiaries described in subdivision (b) in geographic regions that are designated by the department pursuant to subdivision (c) and that are regions in which the AHCSP already provides commercial coverage in the individual, small group, or large group market.
(b)The following beneficiary populations enrolling in Medi-Cal managed care shall be eligible to enroll, or choose to maintain their enrollment, in an AHCSP contracted with the department pursuant to subdivision (a):
(1)A beneficiary who was previously a member of the AHCS
