Text

It is the intent of the Legislature that, in order for payment to be made to a medical transportation service provider, a patient who requires continuous intravenous medication, medical monitoring, or observation during transport and patients being transferred from an acute care facility to another acute care facility shall be transported by ambulance. In other situations where nonemergency medical transportation is given, ambulances need not be used.
