(a)For three months following the effective date specified in paragraph (1) of subdivision (l) of Section 12300.4, timesheets submitted by providers may be paid in excess of the limitations specified in Section 12300.4, so long as the number of hours worked by the provider within a month do not exceed the authorized hours of the recipient or recipients served by that provider.

(b)The State Department of Social Services, in consultation with stakeholders, shall oversee a study of the implementation of Section 12300.4, Section 12301.1, and this section. This study shall cover the 24-month period subsequent to the three-month period specified in subdivision (a). (a)

(c)
Using the study described in (b), it is the intent of the Legislature to evaluate implementation of the federal regulations described in paragraph (1) of subdivision (l) of Section 12300.4 and make any adjustments determined appropriate or necessary through subsequent legislation.
