(a)
To the extent permitted by federal law, regulations, waivers, and directives, the department shall implement Sections 11265.45, 11265.46, and 11265.47 in a cost-effective manner that promotes compatibility between the CalWORKs program and CalFresh, and minimizes the potential for payment errors.
(b)
The department shall seek all necessary waivers from the United States Department of Agriculture to implement subdivision (a).
(c)
This section shall become operative on the first day of the first month following 90 days after the effective date of the act that added this section, or October 1,
2012, whichever is later.
