The board of supervisors may, by ordinance or resolution, delegate to a county official, subject to rules or regulations as the board may impose, the authority to lease any real property acquired by the county for highway purposes for a renewable term not exceeding three years. Proceeds from the lease of the property shall be paid into the county treasury to the credit of any fund designated by the board of supervisors which is available for highway purposes. At least five working days prior to entering into a lease under this section, a notice of intention to enter into a lease shall be posted in a public place.
