Text

(a)There is hereby established the San Diego Metropolitan Transit Development Board in that portion of the County of San Diego as described in Section 120054.

(b)The board shall also be known as the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System. Any reference in law to the board shall be construed to include a reference to the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System.

(c)

(1)The board shall be considered a rapid transit district for the purposes set forth in Article 5 (commencing with Section 53090) of Chapter 1 of Part 1 of Division 2 of Title 5 of the Government Code.

(2)The board shall be included within the meaning of “public agency,” as defined in Section 1450 of the Streets and Highways Code.
