The department may enter into agreements with the Department of Water Resources and the Department of Fish and Game to plan, develop, and administer real and personal property located in the vicinity of Oroville. The department shall carry out a program in that unit of development, maintenance, administration, and conservation of trails and areas for the recreational use of off-highway vehicles. Areas for the recreational use of off-highway vehicles shall be administered pursuant to Chapter 1.25 (commencing with Section 5090.01). Any fees, rentals, or other returns collected by the department in its administration of the unit shall be paid into the State Treasury to the credit of the Off-Highway Vehicle Fund.
