(a)
(1)Notwithstanding any other law, the supervising parole agency shall notify any person released on parole or postrelease community supervision pursuant to Title 2.05 (commencing with Section 3450) of Part 3 who has been classified by the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as included within the highest control or risk classification that he or she shall be required to report to his or her assigned parole officer or designated local supervising agency within two days of release from the state prison.
(2)This section shall not prohibit the supervising parole agency or local supervising agency from requiring any person released on parole or postrelease community supervision to report to his or her assigned parole officer within a time period that is less than two days f
