An officer elected or appointed pursuant to Section 6580.1 shall hold office until the election or appointment and qualification of his or her successor.
A district that has determined to consolidate its general district elections with the direct primary election may thereafter determine to conduct its general district elections pursuant to the Uniform District Election Law. In such event, the district board shall, at any time on or before July 15 of any odd-numbered year, adopt a resolution to that effect. A
