§ 42314.2. — 42314.2. (Added by Stats. 1987, Ch. 205, Sec. 1.)

(a)
The time limits established under Sections 65950, 65950.1, and 65952 of the Government Code for approval or disapproval of development projects may be extended for district review of an application for a permit for a resource recovery project upon the mutual consent of the district and the permit applicant. Notwithstanding Section 65957 of the Government Code, an extension made pursuant to this section shall not exceed nine months beyond the time limits established under Sections 65950, 65950.1, and 65952 of the Government Code.
(b)
The district shall provide public notification at least 30 days prior to the effective date of any extension consented to under subdivision (a), which shall specify the reasons for, and the duration of, the extension period. The district shall provide this public notification by publishing a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the district.
