§ 1338.6. — 1338.6. (Added by Stats. 2024, Ch. 41, Sec. 52.)

(a)For purposes of Section 668.14 of Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations, the required minimum number of hours, or the equivalent, established in this state for educational or training programs for certification training programs for nurse assistants, pursuant to Section 1337.1, or home health aides, pursuant to Section 1736.1, approved by the department shall be equal to the number of clock or credit hours, or the equivalent, that is approved for each program by the department as of the effective date of this section.
(b)An education and training program approved by the department that submits an application on or after the effective date of this section shall not exceed the highest of the minimum number of hours required by federal
or state statute or regulation.
