§ 6546.4. — 6546.4. (Added by Stats. 1973, Ch. 514.)

The governing body of any local agency adopting an ordinance pursuant to Section 6546.3 shall call an election for purposes of submitting to the qualified electors of the agency the question of whether the ordinance shall be adopted. Such election shall be called, held, conducted and the votes canvassed in the same manner, or as near thereto as is possible, as an election at which the local agency submits a general obligation bond proposal to its voters. For purposes of this section the voters of the local agency shall be the voters entitled to vote at elections for members of the governing board of the agency, if the agency has an elected governing board, and the vote of each such voter shall be given the same weight as it would be given in an election for members of the governing board.
