§ 14678.5. — 14678.5. (Added by Stats. 1982, Ch. 1142, Sec. 1.)

(a)
Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 14678, the Department of General Services may enter into agreements with the federal government, including the Urban Mass Transportation Administration, and local agencies to implement demonstration employee mass transportation programs under which the revenues of the project in the form of parking fees are used to repay the costs of the program. For those purposes, the revenue from parking fees generated by the parking facility or facilities in the project shall be allocated to the project pursuant to the agreement. This subdivision shall apply only to the
Van Nuys State Office Building.
(b)
The director may, for a period not longer than the demonstration employee mass transportation program implemented pursuant to subdivision (a), allocate parking fees from employees at facilities leased by the state in the Van Nuys area and use those parking fees collected to finance the demonstration program implemented in that area.
(c)
The revenue from parking fees from facilities leased by the state in the Van Nuys area is appropriated without regard to fiscal years to the department for allocation to the project described in subdivision (a) for a period not longer than the demonstration program implemented pursuant to that subdivision.
