§ 13886.5. — 13886.5. (Added by Stats. 2006, Ch. 452, Sec. 4.)

(a)The Controller, the Director of Finance, and the respective staffs thereof, and all state agencies that have their own internal auditors or that conduct internal audits or internal audit activities, shall conduct internal audit activity under the general and specified standards of internal auditing prescribed by the Institute of Internal Auditors or the Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, as appropriate.
(b)Nothing in this article is intended to limit the rights or obligations of internal auditors to conduct internal audits and audit activities in accordance with other laws and regulations that may apply to a particular entity.
