(a)A contract between a charitable organization and a commercial fundraiser for charitable purposes or fundraising counsel for charitable purposes shall be voidable by the charitable organization unless the commercial fundraiser or the fundraising counsel is registered with the Attorney General’s Registry of Charities and Fundraisers prior to the commencement of the solicitation.
(b)Whenever a charitable organization contracts with a commercial fundraiser for charitable purposes or fundraising counsel for charitable purposes, the charitable organization shall have the right to cancel the contract without cost, penalty, or liability for a period of 10 days following the date on which the contract is executed.
