§ 11018.5. — 11018.5. (Amended by Stats. 2021, Ch. 615, Sec. 158.)

(a)
The Bureau of Real Estate, on or after July 1, 2001, unless otherwise authorized by the Department of Information Technology pursuant to Executive Order D-3-99, shall provide on the internet information regarding the status of every license issued by that entity in accordance with the California Public Records Act (Division 10 (commencing with Section 7920.000) of Title 1 of this code) and the Information Practices Act of 1977 (Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 1798) of Title 1.8 of Part 4 of Division 3 of the Civil Code), including information relative to suspensions and revocations of licenses issued by that state agency and other related enforcement action taken against persons, businesses, or facilities subject to licensure or
regulation by a state agency.
(b)
The Bureau of Real Estate shall disclose information on its licensees, including real estate brokers and agents, on the internet that is in compliance with the bureau’s public record access guidelines. In instances where licensees use their home address as a mailing address, the bureau shall allow licensees to provide a post office box number or other alternate address where correspondence may be received. Notwithstanding the foregoing, real estate brokers shall provide the bureau with the actual address of their place or places of business as required by Section 10162 of the Business and Professions Code.
(c)
“Internet” for the purposes of this section has the meaning set forth in paragraph (6) of subdivision (e) of Section 17538 of the
Business and Professions Code.
