(a)The Legislature hereby finds and declares that California’s public school pupils need quality instruction and support in the areas of computer education in order to develop the skills necessary for entry into an increasingly technological society. The Legislature recognizes that computers and other technologies are an integral part of contemporary society and the state educational system. It is the intent of the Legislature in enacting this section to provide a statewide standard for the preparation of educational personnel in the areas of computer education.
(b)For purposes of this section, “computer education” means the process of teaching pupils about computers.
(c)The Commission on Teacher Credentialing, in consultation with the Superintendent of Public Instruction, may develop
