(a)
“Sick leave days” means the number of days of accumulated and unused leave of absence for illness or injury granted by each employer.
(b)
“Basic sick leave day” means the days of paid leave of absence due to illness or injury granted by each employer that are not excess sick leave days.
(c)
“Excess sick leave days” means the day or total number of days of paid leave of absence due to illness or injury granted by each employer in excess of 12 days per school year.
(d)
For those standards identified in
Section 22138.5 that are expressed only in terms of hours, the number of hours shall be divided by six to determine the number of days pursuant to this section.
