§ 1952.8. — 1952.8. (Added by Stats. 1976, Ch. 1030.)

On and after the effective date of this section, no owner of a gasoline service station shall enter into a lease with any person for the leasing of the station for the purpose of operating a gasoline service station, unless (a)
the station is equipped with a vapor control system for the control of gasoline vapor emissions during gasoline marketing operations, including storage, transport, and transfer operations, if such vapor control system is required by law or by any rule or regulation of the State Air Resources Board or of the air pollution control district in which the station is located or (b)
no vapor control system has been certified by the board prior to the date of the lease.
A lease entered into in violation of this section shall be voidable at the option of the lessee.
