§ 2519. — 2519. (Amended by Stats. 2025, Ch. 136, Sec. 5.)

California·Code BPC Business and Professions Code - BPC·Div. 2. DIVISION 2. HEALING ARTS·Ch. 5. CHAPTER 5. Medicine·Art. 24. ARTICLE 24. Licensed Midwives

The board may suspend, revoke, or place on probation the license of a midwife for any of the following:

(a)Unprofessional conduct, which includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:
(1)Incompetence or gross negligence in carrying out the usual functions of a licensed midwife.
(2)Conviction of a violation of Section 2052, in which event, the record of the conviction shall be conclusive evidence thereof.
(3)The use of advertising that is fraudulent or misleading.
(4)Obtaining or possessing in violation of law, or prescribing, or except as directed by a licensed physician and surgeon, dentist, or podiatrist administering to themselves, or furnishing or administering to another, any controlled substance as defined in Division 10 (commencing with Section 11000) of the Health and
