Text
A.The director shall establish a preliminary community involvement area for each site on the registry established pursuant to section 49-287.01, subsection D, within ninety days after the site is entered into the registry.
B.The director shall provide written notice by mail or other delivery to residents, commercial occupants and owners of wells operated pursuant to groundwater withdrawal rights or permits within a preliminary community involvement area. If two or more community involvement areas are adjacent or overlapping, the director may make a single notice to avoid duplicate notice. This notice shall contain an opportunity for the recipient to elect to be added to the site's mailing list and to identify other persons who should receive similar notice.
