§ 9-27-347 — Probation reports

(a) The probation officer shall make and keep a complete history of each case before disposition and during the course of any probation imposed by the circuit court. (b) (1) It is the intention of this section to require an intelligent and thorough report of each juvenile before probation and during probation as to heredity, environment, condition, treatment, development, and results. (2) The report shall contain among other information the age, sex, nativity, residence, education, mentality, habits, whether married or single, and employment and income and shall be continued so as to show the condition of the person during the term of his or her probation and the results of probation in the case. (3) The report shall never be disclosed except as required by law or directed by the court. (c) The probation officer shall furnish to each person released on probation a written statement of the terms and conditions of probation and shall report to the court any violation or breach of the terms and conditions so imposed.
