Text

This act shall not be construed as divesting the county court of any of its original jurisdiction over the roads granted by the Arkansas Constitution, but the object of this act is to give aid and assistance in the maintenance and improvement of those parts of the public roads of the state laid out as such, so important to the people of the state that they have been designated as state highways. If any action required to be done under this act would interfere with the jurisdiction of the county court over roads conferred by the Arkansas Constitution, it shall be implied that it may be done on order of the county court or proper orders of superior courts on appeal.
