§ 27-65-112 — Acceptance of federal aid

(a)The State of Arkansas assents to the provisions of the Act of the United States Congress, approved July 11, 1916, 39 Stat. 1, 355, entitled "An Act to Provide That the United States Shall Aid the States in the Construction of Rural Post Roads, and for Other Purposes", and to the provisions of all acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto.
(b)The State Highway Commission is authorized and empowered on behalf of the state to:
(1)Cooperate with the United States Secretary of Agriculture in every way contemplated by the above act of the United States Congress or any acts of the United States Congress hereafter passed, in the construction and improvement of roads in Arkansas, and to select and designate, in the name of the state, a proper system of state highways for the expenditure
